Intro to this issue:
God’s eternal plan from the beginning of creation is a people formed in his own image and likeness – A people created in love for love – Who share in the perfect union and glory of the Eternal Father and Creator of All, and his beloved and only begotten Son, who is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and with the Holy Spirit who is the very Source and Giver of everlasting life, love, and unity.
This issue focusses on God’s work of renewing his people in unity and love. Unity is first a gift to be received. The call and vocation of charismatic renewal and covenant community is ecumenical because the Holy Spirit is “One and who baptizes us in one body” – the body of Christ. the unifier who draws us into union with the Father, and the Son, and with one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Covenant community is a prophetic signpost of the unity God wants for all Christians. The Lord wants to bring all of his people into greater unity, love, and mission together for his glory and his mission to bring his word of salvation and his kingdom to every nation, tribe, and peoples on the earth.
May this issue inspire us to follow the Lord’s direction and the work of the Holy Spirit who revives our faith and empowers us to grow in greater love, unity, and service together as a community of disciples on mission.
