Renew, Revive, Restore: Report on the International Women’s Leadership Conference 2025

From April 30 to May 4, 2025, nearly 200 women leaders from across the regions of the Sword of the Spirit gathered in San Jose, Costa Rica for a grace-filled international conference themed “Renew, Revive, Restore.”

The Lord’s presence was powerfully at work throughout the conference – renewing hearts, reviving vision, and restoring strength. Through rich times of worship, insightful teaching, and vibrant fellowship, participants encountered deep spiritual refreshment and were strengthened in their identity and mission as women leaders.

A strong spirit of unity marked the gathering, as women from diverse cultures stood together in faith. New friendships were formed, existing bonds deepened, and a collective sense of purpose was reignited. We were reminded once more of our common call: to build and uphold the bulwark of the Sword of the Spirit – standing steadfast and walking forward together in the Lord’s mission.

This gathering marked not only a time of personal renewal but also a powerful reminder of the strength and impact of women walking together in faith. As we return to our communities, we do so carrying the grace we received – ready to lead, to serve, and to live out our call with joy and conviction.

We thank the Lord for His abundant blessings during this special time and for the unity He continues to build among us as women in the Sword of the Spirit.

A Season of Transition: Honoring Faithful Service in the IWCC

The International Women’s Coordinating Committee (IWCC) is experiencing a time of transition as we say farewell to two remarkable sisters who have served with dedication, wisdom, and joy.

Ana Carranza has faithfully represented the Ibero-American Region for the past nine years, and her term will conclude at the International Women’s Leaders Conference (IWLC) this May. Ana’s wholehearted service, vibrant spirit, and many gifts have been a blessing to us all. She has brought passion and energy to her role, and her presence will be greatly missed.

Clare Bick has been a pillar of strength and leadership, generously serving well beyond her original terms, serving for 5 years as our chair (2019-2024). Her steady and gracious guidance helped navigate the IWCC through the uncertainties of the COVID years. Her willingness to extend her service so we could benefit from her experience for this year’s IWLC speaks volumes about her heart for this work.

Both of these incredible women have led with faith and resilience, serving God’s people while navigating the many challenges of recent years. Their contributions have been immeasurable, and we are deeply grateful for the example they have set. Though we will miss them, we celebrate their faithful service and pray for the Lord’s continued blessings upon them.

Looking ahead, the IWCC will continue its work with the following committee members:

  • Landa Juan – Asian Region
  • Rosemary Thornton – North American Region
  • Gloriangeles Arguello – Ibero-American Region
  • Rita Menassa – European/Middle East Region

We invite you to join us in prayer as we step into this new season, trusting that God will continue to guide and bless our work so that it may bear great fruit for His Kingdom, seeking to serve with wisdom, joy, unity, and a heart for His people.
