This past year (2022) has been a great blessing for coordinators all across the Sword of the Spirit who had their Regional Coordinators Conference and Power from On High Retreat. The coordinators from the Asian region held their retreat from the 22nd to the 25th of September 2022 in the Philippines. There were 200 coordinators from Malaysia, India, Singapore, the Philippines, and 7 brothers from Africa, and even a few guests from other regions of the Sword of the Spirit. It was truly a very blessed international event.
It began with the Power from on High Retreat in which the brothers were empowered to receive and use the gifts of the Holy Spirit more openly. Three brothers who had attended the coordinators retreat in the Europe & Middle East region, gave the talks and led the prayer times together with the guidance of our International President, Jean Barbara.
Then there was a presentation of the three Strategic Priorities for the Sword of the Spirit in the coming years: Being renewed in our charismatic spirituality, living fully our ecumenical call, and widening our tent pegs for growth as communities.
There was plenty of time to Worship the Lord together with anointed leadership and music. There was also a lot of fellowship time which was strongly needed after 2 years of not seeing one another because of the pandemic.
One of the highlights of the event was the signing of the Covenant of the Holy Trinity Community, from Davao City, Philippines, who has completed their formation as a community and are a Full Member Community of the Sword of the Spirit.
This conference completes the third of all four regions to have their Regional Coordinators Conference. The last one took place in North America this past January 2023. Let us pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to move in our midst.
