Use me, Lord

In Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians, he writes, “The gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction.” (1 Thessalonians 1:5)

It can be very intimidating to think about sharing the gospel with someone. We quickly hit roadblocks in our own mind. “I’m not a theologian” or â€œI’m not eloquent” or â€œHow can I get the message exactly right in a way that this person can hear it?”

But, here is the good news! It’s not all on us! The gospel has power in and of itself. And, you have conviction and the power of the Holy Spirit living in you. You don’t need to sound super spiritual or use a lot of theological jargon. There are three simple words that will help you prepare to share the gospel with a friend, neighbor, or family member: “Use Me, Lord.”

Take a minute and bring one person to mind that God is calling you to share the gospel with.

Then pray Use Me, Lord and mark down a date on your calendar that you will share the gospel with that person.
